Author John Kenny Featured at Moveable Feast

CLASS Publishing welcomes a new local author with a Moveable Feast book launch –  a family history. The book is currently available at Art Works in the Litchfield Exchange and Litchfield Books in Fresh Market Commons.

John Kenny, administrative coordinator of the Georgetown Innovation Center, will present A Very Special Family: The House of Joseph Thomas Raad at DeBordieu Colony Clubhouse Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 . The results of a five-year research project to capture the story of the Lebanese community in his adopted hometown, Kenny’s photo-rich history from 1895-2017 is an immigrant story to remind us of the shining hope the United States has been to past generations, as well as their pay-back and -forward in the contributions they have made. One Lebanese family, four immigrant sons, and the lasting impact they have made in Georgetown, South Carolina and throughout the state – this collection of vignettes is a touching tribute to the American dream. A Very Special Family is a 170-page hardcover with 90 photos, $24.95 plus tax.

Each Moveable Feast is  from 11 AM to 1 PM, featuring an hour-long presentation by the author, followed by lunch and a book signing. Following each feast, the author heads to Litchfield Books at 2 PM to sign books for those unable to attend the literary luncheon. To register for Moveable Feast, call 843.235.9600 or ClassAtPawleys.com.
