Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival

The Myrtle Beach eighth annual Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival is Friday through Sunday, August 30 – September 1, at Grand Park, with a host of activities for the entire family.  Food is the main attraction, with eating/cooking events featuring the nation’s finest barbeque competitors.  Come enjoy live music, art and craft exhibitors, water skiing demonstrations, boat rides, fireworks and more.  See details of all events or visit www.MyrtleBeachEventInfo.com.

6:00 – 9:30 p.m., Friday, August 30

6:00 p.m. – BBQ, BBQ, BBQ! – OMAR Shriners will be selling barbeque combos and dinners

6:00 p.m. – Food, Arts and Crafts Business Vendors and Exhibitors – Non-BBQ food vendors will be selling a variety of eats. Select arts and crafts vendors will be selling jewelry, children’s clothing and other unique items. (Most vendors accept cash only.)

6:00 to 9:30 p.m. – Live Entertainment featuring Wallstreet and Jim Quick & Coastline Bands – Bring chairs and blankets (no coolers allowed). This event takes place at the main stage, south side of the lake.  It’s free.

6:30 p.m. – “Anything Goes” Contest and Tasting – Samples $1.00 each.  Sample a variety of beef, seafood, dessert and everything in between.

6:30 p.m. – Beer & Wine Garden

9:30 p.m. – Announcement of “Anything Goes” Contest Winners: Anything Goes, Best Booth, Best Dessert and Best Sauce. – Cheer on your favorite team as the winners are announced. Main stage.

 12:00 – 9:30 p.m., Saturday, August 31

8:00 a.m. – Official S.C. Barbeque Championship begins – Watch as teams prepare their barbeque for judging. The soccer fields, corner of Forbes Court and Farrow Parkway.

12:00 p.m. – BBQ, BBQ, BBQ (while supplies last) – Attendees can sample delicious barbecue from all competing teams by purchasing a $10 wristband. Kids age six and under can sample for free.  Barbecue combos, dinners, hamburgers and hot dogs also will be available for purchase.  Proceeds benefit Omar Shriner charities.

12:00 to 9:30 p.m. – Beer & Wine Gardens – Enjoy cold beer and wine selections.

12:00 to 4:00 p.m. – Shriners Hospital FREE Screening – Children from birth to age 18 with medical issues are invited to this screening for potential free treatment at Shriners Hospital, where care is provided regardless of a families’ ability to pay. No appointment is necessary for this free screening clinic from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

12:00 to 9:15 p.m. – Live Entertainment – Bring chairs and blankets (no coolers allowed). This event takes place at the main stage, corner of Meyers Avenue and Farrow Parkway.  It’s free.

12:00 to 5:00 p.m. – Kids Zone – Free games and activities for children of all ages.

1:00, 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. – Flyboard Demonstrations by HydroFly Myrtle Beach on Grand Park Lake – The Flyboard is a revolutionary new water sport that allows users to swim like a dolphin and hover up to 20 feet in the air.

5:00 p.m. – Announcement of Official S.C. Barbeque Championship

9:30 p.m. – Fireworks – Enjoy a fireworks finale visible from any side of the Grand Park Lake.

 12:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 1

 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. – BBQ and Wings! (while supplies last)  Barbeque combos and dinners will be available for purchase. BBQ proceeds benefit OMAR Shriners. Attendees can enjoy a variety of wings from restaurants and teams competing in the wing competition.

12:00 to 5:00 p.m. – Beer & Wine Gardens – Enjoy cold beer and wine selections.

12:30 p.m. – Best Wings on the Beach – Restaurants and wing teams from all over will participate in a judged wing competition. These vendors will also be selling their delicious wings from 12 – 5 p.m.

2:00 – 3:00 p.m. – FREE Watermelon (while supplies last)
