CAPE FEAR WILDLIFE EXPO Scheduled for Wilmington, NC

Outdoor enthusiasts and families have another reason to visit Wilmington, North Carolina. On March 14-16, the 6th Annual Cape Fear Wildlife Expo returns to Wilmington to showcase the state’s natural resources, wildlife, conservation, and outdoor recreation. The family-friendly event features more than 100 exhibitors with interactive displays, intriguing workshops and educational activities at the riverfront Wilmington Convention Center. Celebrity guest Mike Stroff from The Sportsman Channel’s television show “Outdoor Savage” and the hosts of Big E TV’s “Both Sides of the Fence” (FOX SportSouth) will greet fans and sign autographs.

The Cape Fear Wildlife Expoa Southeast Tourism Society Top 20 Event—is committed to encourage youth to enjoy the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and other outdoor-related sports and events. Interactive stations will provide youth with hands-on experience in archery, saltwater fly fishing, outdoor survival, geocaching, duck calls, water pollution, the aquatic web, and forestry practices. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience the NC Wildlife Resources Commission safari trailer and mobile aquarium.

There’s plenty for adults to enjoy, too, with three days of hunting and fishing exhibitors, wildlife art, decoys, boats and accessories, truck and ATV displays, fly fishing demos, camping, guides, outfitters, sport-fishing simulator, contests, archery demos and fun for the entire family.

New this year is a series of hands-on seminars on flounder fishing, pier and surf fishing, speckled trout fishing, knot tying, cast net instruction, striper and bass fishing, intro to deer hunting, bow hunting instruction, general safety, duck and goose calls, turkey hunting, wildlife photography and more.
