Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

Myrtle Beach will commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a weekend full of activities, January 12-15, 2018.

The Carolina African American Heritage Foundation, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Myrtle Beach present the 12th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Friday through Monday, January 12-15, 2018. Everyone’s invited to participate in a job fair, musical talent show, the King Day Parade and more.

Here’s the full celebration schedule.
 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 12 – Welcome Reception and Mixer (with community leaders and city, county and state officials), Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, 1200 North Oak Street
 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 12 – MLK Film Festival (showcases local films, videos, documentaries, etc.), Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel, 2101 North Oak Street
 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13 – Regional Economic Development Summit Breakfast, Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel, 2101 North Oak Street
 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13 – Job Fair and Small Business and Economic Development Workshops, Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel, 2101 North Oak Street
