Events scheduled for Plyler Park and the Boardwalk District Through September 1
All Hot Summer Nights 2015 events are sponsored by: the Oceanfront Merchants Association, the Downtown Redevelopment Corporation and the City of Myrtle Beach.
Kidz Carnival… The Kidz Carnival, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. each Monday, is the perfect time to enjoy live performances, inflatables, face painters, stilt walkers, balloon artists and caricature artists in Plyler Park. The kids will love it!
LIVE Music in Plyler Park… Join us in Plyler Park for the “Board Rocking Concert Series,” every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from 8:00 until 11:00 p.m.! The free, live music will feature a vast range of genres that include local, rock, country, jazz, pop, reggae, R&B, funk and more.
Fireworks from the Second Avenue Pier… Please join us for the big fireworks show every Wednesday night at 10:00 p.m. The display occurs on the Second Avenue Pier and is visible from the beach and boardwalk throughout the downtown area.
Local Talent Showcase… Local and regional entertainers will showcase their talents each Wednesday from 7:00 until 10:00 p.m. in Plyler Park. Entertainers will include high school marching bands, dance companies, local singers and more. Come enjoy the show!
LIVE Music at 9th Avenue Stage… Every Wednesday, the Ninth Avenue North Stage will host free, live music from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The evening will feature a vast range of music genres, including local rock, country, jazz, pop, reggae, R&B and funk bands.
Battle of the Bands… Local, regional and national bands will battle it out on the Pavilion stage for cash prizes and so much more, from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. on six consecutive Fridays this summer! The competition will host five bands each night, with a total of 30 high quality touring bands. Here are the Battle of the Bands competition dates: July 17, 24 and 31, and August 7. The final showdown will be held October 10 through 11 during the Oktoberfest celebration!
Boardwalk’s Got Talent in Plyler Park… Local and regional performers of all ages will compete for a $1,000 prize package from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on select Fridays in June and August. This will offer a variety show for all ages to enjoy, with the big finale on Friday, September 4. Here are the “Boardwalk’s Got Talent” show dates… June 26, and August 14, 21 and 28.
Sunday Celebrations in Plyler Park… Local and regional artists will perform a variety of music genres for everyone to enjoy on select Sundays in August. Come enjoy the music from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.
