Immersive Light and Music Shows at Ingram Planetarium

Ingram Planetarium is proud to host new laser light and music shows beginning in March 2017! Fully immerse yourself in the music of your favorite artists as their songs come alive in a 360 degree environment of light and sound.

The installation of modernized equipment to start 2017 has ushered in a new generation of laser shows at Ingram Planetarium. Join this sensory experience unlike any other as mesmerizing laser artwork is now accompanied by 3D atmospheric effects and 360 degree lighting. Let go as the light seemingly dances around you to enjoy music from the most popular and influential bands in history through our area’s best sound system. Whether you want to sit back and relax or rock out to the hits of yesteryear, these fully immersive shows are not to be missed!

March 4          The Beatles – Take a trip down memory lane with The Fab Four and enjoy favorites such as Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Yesterday, Here Comes the Sun, and more. Sing-a-long to these classic songs as you are transported back to a lost time and re-experience the evolution of this musical phenomenon.

March 11        Classic Rock Night – Prepare to rock! Join us to see some of your favorite rock hits come to life with immersive light and laser effects! This musical concert highlights many of classic rock’s favorite bands, featuring AC/DC, Queen, Aerosmith, Journey, and many others!

March 18        Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon – Based on Pink Floyd’s 1973 album of humanitarian, political and philosophical empathy, Dark Side of the Moon is one of the most engaging and mind-bending light concerts of all time! Featuring the entire groundbreaking album including songs like Breathe, Money, and Any Colour You Like.

March 25        Pink Floyd’s The Wall – Coupled with spectacular laser art and immersive effects, Pink Floyd’s classic 1979 epic about personal struggle takes on a unique look, weaving its story in one of the most popular laser shows ever produced! Visitors will become lost and spellbound as their senses join this timeless journey. Featuring songs from the album such as Comfortably Numb, Young Lust, and Another Brick in the Wall. Not recommended for young children.

Ingram Planetarium is located at 7625 High Market Street in Sunset Beach, NC. Admission is free for members. Non-member, per-show admission (including NC sales tax) is $9.50 for adults, $8.50 for seniors (62+), $7.50 for children (3-12), and free for age 2 and under.
