Laser Metallica at Ingram Planetarium

Monthly laser art and music shows return this September to Ingram Planetarium including a crowd favorite – Metallica! Visit on the evenings of September 16 and 17 to experience heart-pounding classic rock set to mesmerizing laser graphics. This month’s lineup includes (complete playlists are available at www.museumplanetarium.org):

Sept. 16          6 pm – Retro 80s – Do you tear up when you hear “Thanks, Mean Joe?” Do you wonder “Where’s the beef?” Do you think Max Headroom is the greatest political commentator of all time? Then this is the laser show for you! Join us for a tribute to the great anthems of the 1980s including hits from Duran Duran, The Eurythmics, Tears for Fears, and more!

Sept. 16          7 pm – Laser U2 – Stop in to Laser U2 to enjoy the greatest hits of one of the most popular bands of the last three decades set against a backdrop of the latest laser art. Your eyes and ears will be your guides into an immerse journey through this British band’s rise and success featuring songs such as “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “With Or Without You,” and many others.

Sept. 17          6 pm – Laser Vinyl – Join us to see some of your favorite rock hits come to life with memorizing laser artwork! Laser Vinyl is a fantastic musical concert representing the best of classic rock, featuring AC/DC, Queen, Aerosmith, Journey, and many others! Reminisce, tap your feet and enjoy a truly fantastic audio-visual event that will rock your body, mind and soul!

Sept. 17          7 pm – Laser Metallica – Considered to be one of the pioneering groups in what would become the heavy metal genre, the musicianship and force of Metallica has been hailed by critics and fans worldwide. Your pulse will pound as the music fills both your ears and eyes with songs such as “Master of Puppets,” “Enter Sandman,” and “For Whom the Bell Tolls.”

Ingram Planetarium is located at 7625 High Market Street in Sunset Beach, NC. Admission is free for members. Non-member admission (including NC sales tax) is $9.50 for adults, $8.50 for seniors (62+), $7.50 for children (3-12), and free for age 2 and under.
