CAROLINA CALEDONIAN FEST Announced for LU MIL VINEYARD

The first Carolina Caledonian Fest  is set for October 28, 29 & 30. 2016. The one-of-a-kind Scottish festival celebrates the 350 Scots who stepped off a ship in Brunswick Town, NC and trekked northwest along the Cape Fear River to found Bladen County and eventually establish the first & largest Scottish settlement in America. This settlement became the Argyll Colony in the Cross Creek area of what is now Fayetteville.

It’s not just customary games and farcical portrayal of Highland culture. It’s a reunion 275 years in the making.

NC GRAPE FESTIVAL

There will be a Super Yard Sale with FREE booth spaces (call 910-866-5819), Grape Stomp Competition, Entertainment on Doc’s Deck, Vineyard Tours on the Double Decker Bus and Free Wine Tasting. Join us for a day of great family fun & entertainment!

Sip wine or pick grapes from the vine at Lu Mil Vineyard in Elizabethtown, NC.

The scuppernong is a variety of muscadine grape and is North Carolina’s state fruit.  This vineyard has a vine which is a cutting of the Mother Vine which is more than 400 years old.
