Wine Fest Fundraiser at Museum of Coastal Carolina April 30

The Ocean Isle Museum Foundation will host its Wine Fest, the foundation’s biggest fundraiser, at the Museum of Coastal Carolina April 30 from 6:30 to 9:30  pm.

The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Proceeds from Wine Fest benefit the museum and its sister facility, Ingram Planetarium, in Sunset Beach.

This year’s Wine Fest theme is inspired by Tuscany. Ocean Isle’s own Petrea Imports, Inc. will provide some fine Italian wines for sampling. Tuscan-inspired food will be provided by La Cucina, Pelican’s Perch, Roberto’s, and Sharky’s.

Enjoy live music by Wilmington musician Teddy Burgh. Buy a $10 cork in the Cork Pull and walk away with an interesting bottle of wine.

Participate in live and silent auctions. Silent auction items include a football signed by Cam Newton, Greg Olsen, and Ryan Kalil; hand-painted wine glasses; gift certificates to area restaurants; and rounds of golf at local courses. Live auction items include trips to Napa Valley (including a hot air balloon ride) and Cancun, a Celestron telescope, a ride in an Aero Albatros jet, and a diamond-and-amethyst pendant.

Also included in the live auction: original art by Texas artist John Ross Palmer. Palmer’s exhibit, called Ocean Isle Memories, will be displayed in the museum’s Coastal Gallery. A wine and cheese reception for Palmer will be held on April 29 at 6 pm at the museum.

Reservations for Wine Fest are $50 per person and are available  by visiting the museum or calling 910-579-1016. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the night of the event.
