The Hilton Head Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance took place on the premises of Port Royal Golf Club on Hilton Head Island on November 1-2. Taking into account the cold, windy and rainy day on Saturday, it was a great event. Since they have moved from Honey Horn to the Port Royal Golf Club I must say it is by far a much better venue for such an elegant event. The fairways give these classic cars the backdrop that they deserve for such a line up.
The people who run the Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance really did a great job this year considering the bad weather that rolled in overnight Friday and stayed around Saturday. If you have been to a car show and think that they are all the same, I urge you to attend the Concours in Hilton Head. You will be amazed at the automobiles that you will see. This is for sure not a regular car show.
The boat show was especially enjoyable this year and located in a prominent spot which was easy to view.
