Perhaps the most renowned artist working in South Carolina today, Philip Mullen’s work is the subject of an exhibition titled “Mullen: 2009-2012” at the F. G. Burroughs – S. B. Chapin Art Museum. Mullen’s creations feature multiple layers with subtle hints of objects and figures that draw the viewer in for a closer look. His work has been shown in museums from coast to coast.
